I’m a colorist based in Los Angeles. I’ve got a background in cinematography, editing, photography, and painting. I’ve graded features, documentaries, trailers, shorts, commercials and music videos. My primary tool is DaVinci Resolve. I believe that color is a strong tool for conveying emotion and storytelling. Realizing the vision of the director and cinematographer in the color session is my primary goal. I have a strong technical background and understanding of color science and workflow from capture to delivery. I like to keep the session focused on storytelling while providing the best technical solutions to support creative decisions. I have been lucky to grade projects all over the world – from Denmark and Belgium to Cambodia, Armenia, & Mexico – and I have taught color grading and editing at universities and film programs in the United States and abroad. After working for some time at Company 3, most notably on Avengers: Endgame, I joined the team at Technicolor as a Junior Colorist. I then started my own company during the pandemic and graded films from my home studio. Now in 2022, I’ve taken on an in-house colorist position at Wiser Post in Hollywood. At Wiser, we focus on trailers and ad campaigns for films, but I’m also still taking on a selection of independent docs and features each quarter to continue working with the communities I care about. My goal is to bring studio-caliber finishing to stories from under-represented communities.
